Additional Details
2nd Lt Michael Albert Boehm was born in 1917 in Youngtown, Mahoning County, Ohio. He graduated in 1935 from New Waterford High School and entered the US Air Corp in January 1941. In school he took part in the Junior and Senior plays. He was a member of the 4H Club. He received awards in Bookkeeping.
He was one of the two sons in his family. He had two sisters, Margaret and Susan. He was married to Hilda Deppner Bohm and had a son, Michael Jr.
He was on the crew of B-24 Liberator bomber #41-28615 "Ginnie" during a mission to Gotha, Germany. They were hit by enemy aircraft fire, then crashed and exploded in the North Sea near the coast of Rotterdam, Holland.
