Additional Details
S/Sgt James Golbski was born in Kankakee, Kankakee County, Illinois. He enlisted in the US Air Corps at Camp Dodge in Iowa on September 10, 1942.He was on the crew of B-24 Liberator bomber #41-28615 "Ginnie" during a mission to Gotha, Germany. They were hit by enemy aircraft fire, then crashed and exploded in the North Sea near the coast of Rotterdam, Holland. We identified 10 casualties in our archive related to the #41-28615 incident on February 22, 1944.
