Additional Details
On July 13, 1968 he was on the crew of the US Navy helicopter UH-1B #62-12515 during a mission in the area of Dung Island when they drew enemy ground fire. Their main engine transmission was hit and they fell straight to the ground from 800 feet. There were no survivors.
