Langdon Elmer Johnson was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen. He was credited with shooting down 1 enemy aircraft in aerial combat on July 20, 1944. On August 12, 1944 he was strafing enemy radar stations at Marseilles, France. He was hit by flak and crashed into the sea about 10 miles out from Marseilles. His body was not recovered.
